Snack
Students will have a snack every day. Please send in a few days worth of snack for the whole class. This will fill our cupboard and I will send home a note when more is needed. I do have a small fridge if you would like to send in something that needs to be cold. Some suggested snacks are: gold fish, animal crackers, string cheese, peanut butter crackers, yogurt, cuties and raisins.

Birthdays
Please arrange a time with me if you are interested in celebrating your child’s birthday in class. Our schedule is pretty busy this year, so it would be easiest to celebrate Birthday's first thing in the morning.

Homework
Each week your child will be asked to read 110 minutes and practice their basic math facts for 10 minutes. They will need to log their time on the paper sent home every TUESDAY. Please return it the following TUESDAY! Students will be receiving "Book Bucks" each week that they complete their homework and will be able to spend in our school store!
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP! |
Thursday Folders
Every week a folder will be coming home with notes from the office and classroom. Please return the folder the following day or as quickly as possible. To save paper, notes will be sent home to oldest and only students. Please feel free to use the Thursday folder to send in any notes.

Pick Up & Drop Off
Please be on time dropping off and picking up your child each day. Students will be brought in from the playground at 8:00 and dismissed to the playground at 3:30. I encourage you to plan a meeting place so your child knows exactly where to go after school.

Volunteers
I will be recruiting volunteers soon, after students become more adjusted to our classroom. I love extra help in my classroom!
|
Water Bottles
We encourage students to have water bottles at school - PLEASE send only water, not juice or other drinks. This helps to eliminate distractions throughout the day. We will send home water bottles each Friday to be cleaned.
|
Toys
PLEASE do not bring any toys to school!!! They get lost, stolen, or broken and are only a distraction to our learning. Toys will be confiscated and parents will have to come and pick them up.
